The limit is your bike's rated load capacity, not the motor. Many single-rider bikes are rated as low as 250–300 lb total — check your frame manufacturer's spec and don't exceed it, or you risk structural damage. Bafang doesn't publish a fixed towing number because it depends on your bike's gearing, frame, terrain, and speed. The motors are designed for a single rider on a standard bike; that said, pedicab operators do run our BBSHD 1000W for heavier duty, though pushing past design limits accelerates wear. For cargo and towing, the BBSHD is the motor to choose.
