⚠️ Error 04 / 05 — Throttle Error

Bafang thumb throttle with red battery-level indicator, the part behind Error 04 and 05 What it means: A throttle fault — the throttle isn't communicating correctly and won't work. How to fix it:
  • Reseat the throttle connector. Unplug and replug the throttle, carefully aligning the arrows and pins. Check for any bent or damaged pins.
  • Reseat the whole harness. If that doesn't clear it, unplug and replug every connection on the main wiring harness (display, throttle, brakes, motor leads, battery), checking pins and alignment throughout.
  • Isolate the throttle. Unplug the throttle entirely. If the error clears with the throttle disconnected, the throttle itself is faulty and needs replacing.
