๐Ÿ”ง Installation Power Issue โ€” Troubleshooting Checklist

Just finished your install and the kit won't power up? This is nearly always a connection that isn't fully seated โ€” brand-new Higo connectors can take a firm push to click home. Work through these in order:

  • Battery mount: Confirm the battery is fully seated and locked on. Check the battery-specific mounting video if unsure. (Mount references: Ultra Slim Shark mount, Dolphin mount, Shark mount.)
  • Battery power: Make sure the pack is switched on (Ultra Slim Shark has no switch; Dolphin uses a press button; others use "โˆ’" for on, "o" for off).

  • Charge level: Hold the indicator button โ€” 1 red light โ‰ˆ 25%, plus green lights for more.

  • Every connection (battery removed):
- Anderson connectors clipped tightly together. - Main wiring harness fully seated at each branch, arrows aligned, no bent pins. - Display connector snug. - Nothing pinched under the frame or motor. Anderson Connections Bad main wire harness Display Connection
  • Reinstall and lock the battery.
  • Power the battery back on (per step 2).
  • Power up display and motor using your display's manual (C961, 500C, or DPC-18).
The most common install-day culprits are a half-seated main harness connector, a Higo plug pushed together at a slight angle (bending a pin), or the Anderson battery leads not fully clicked. If you have re-checked everything and still have no power or a persistent error, contact tech support with photos of your connections.

๐Ÿ’ก Most error codes are just a connector that isn't fully seated. The universal first step for any code: power down, then unplug and firmly re-seat every connector, checking for bent pins and lining up the arrows on the Higo plugs. For the full list, see the error-code guides below.
