π‘οΈ Warranty
Every Bafang kit and part comes with a 90-day manufacturer's warranty from the date of purchase. Here's what that covers, in plain terms.
What's covered
β Covered: Genuine manufacturing defects on the original purchaser's order, within the continental US. If a part is defective through no fault of installation or use, we provide a replacement part. Warranty is limited to replacement parts only β it does not cover labor or shipping costs.
What's not covered
β Not covered:
- Normal wear and tear
- Crash, collision, or accident damage
- Water damage
- Batteries damaged by power surges or the wrong charger
- Commercial use (delivery, rentals, pedicabs) and specialty setups (tandem, cargo)
- Component failures caused by misuse β for example blown controllers, fried motor coils, or worn gears from improper operation
- Orders outside the continental US, and any owner who is not the original purchaser
What voids the warranty
π« Voids the warranty: These kits are DIY, and we love that β but a few modifications end coverage because they change the product from what we shipped and tested:
- Cutting, splicing, or changing wire connections, or soldering
- Reprogramming the controller or display
- Adding grease, or otherwise disassembling or altering the product
- Mixing in non-Ebike Essentials components, or installing parts the kit wasn't intended to work with
How to file a claim
Contact us with clear photos, video, and the serial number(s) of the affected part. Documentation lets us diagnose quickly and confirm it's a defect. We may ask you to ship the part back for testing before approving a replacement. Once a defect is confirmed, we send the replacement part your way.
